Non-Fiction Animation: Roots and Spurs
Presenter 1: Nicole Antebi
Nicole Antebi is a student of animistic thinking and landscape. She works in non-fiction animation, motion graphics, installation while simultaneously connecting and creating opportunities for other artists through larger curatorial and editorial projects such as Water, CA and The Winter Shack. In 2010 she co-developed the anthology/website entitled Water, CA: Creative Visualizations for a New Millennium ( The project was the focus of a 2011 interpretive exhibition and festival at the Crocker Art Museum and most recently the basis for the exhibition, Facing the Sublime in Water, CA, at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA. Her work has been shown in many places including the Manhattan Bridge Anchorage, Teeny Cine’s converted trailer, Lara Bank’s Portable Forest, a Texas Grain Silo and in the cabin of a capsized ship at Machine Project in Los Angeles.

Presenter 2: Miki Golod
Miki Golod is a Brooklyn based Israeli artist, illustrator and author. He studied Visual Communication and Education at the Neri Bloomfield School of Design in Haifa, Israel, and recently completed his MFA Illustration degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. His works includes comic and graphic novels in which he create both the story and the art, cartooning, drawing and graphic design. Some of his works has been exhibited in museums in Israel and New York, and published in Israeli and international newspapers.
